Council Meetings

PLEASE NOTE: that meeting dates are set and confirmed at the end of the prior meeting and thus may change. Agreed meeting dates can thus be found at the end of the last set of minutes published.

All meetings are open to the public, however any member of the public who wishes to speak can do so in the early part of the meeting provided he or she has given notice to the Clerk prior to the Council agenda being despatched to Members.  If no member of the public gives notice to the Clerk, there is to be no provision in the agenda to allow a public session to take place.   Agenda papers for Council meetings are despatched six days before the meeting.

Council meetings are held on the following basis:

• Full Council meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month except in August at 7:00pm.
• Planning meetings are usually held every second Monday at 4:00pm.
• Policy & Resources meetings are usually held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm.
• Promotions & Liaisons meetings are usually held the second Tuesday of each month at 2:30pm.

PUBLIC SESSION

The holding of a Public Session at Town Council meetings is subject to the following:-

  any member of the public who wishes to speak can do so in the early part of the meeting provided he or she has given notice to the Clerk prior to the Council agenda being despatched to Members;

• if no member of the public gives notice to the Clerk, there is to be no provision in the agenda to allow a public session to take place.
