Since opening The Walnut, I have always aimed to consider our environment and local economy. I have sourced second hand furniture and use many local businesses to Shropshire for our food and beverage sourcing.

For our takeaway offer, we use packaging that is recyclable. This applies to the foil, card and plastic containers and our bags are paper. Our takeaway cups have recyclable lids.

I am now looking to improve my buildings eco credentials by investigating secondary glazing and insulation of the roof space to reduce my energy bills and carbon footprint.
