Wellington currently has 21 councillors who are elected to serve for a 4 year term. The Wellington Town Council Parish is divided into the following 8 wards: Arleston, College, Dothill, Ercall, Haygate, Meadows, Park and Shawbirch.

The Town Council is administered under the leadership of the Town Clerk, Alison Hinks who has been in position since April 2026. She is assisted by the following team:

• Caroline Mulvihill – Deputy CEO and Events Manager
• Adrienne Taylor – Events and Regeneration Officer
• Lynne Skehan – Responsible Finance Officer
• Ami Blank – Parish Council and Mayors Support Officer

Wellington Town Council also has a Wellington Environmental Services (WEST) Team made up of father and son team Mick and Joe Talbot. They are responsible for cleansing public areas such as the town’s play areas, parks and open spaces. This also includes the maintenance of all Town Council owned property.

Love Wellington

Love Wellington is funded by the Wellington Regeneration group and is run independently with the help of volunteers and outside experts to promote the town and drive investment into Wellington’s local economy.

Members work in close partnership with the Town Council as there is a clear synergy to be achieved working together for the good of the town.
