Welcome to the website of Wellington Town Council. On this homepage you will find a letter from our Mayor and a current rolling feed of the latest council news from our Facebook page.
At the bottom of the page are details of who we are, what’s on and how to get in touch. We are based at offices in Larkin Way and although at the moment the offices are temporarily closed the town council continues to work hard for the Wellington community.
These are difficult times and I would like to congratulate the outgoing Mayor, Cllr Anthony Lowe for the way he coped.
It is an honour and a great pleasure to be elected Mayor of Wellington. I have many ideas about the projects I would like implemented in the year ahead. My emphasis will be in trying to engage with children and young people. They have had a most disrupted year at school, college or work, and I am pleased that Telford and Wrekin Council took the initiative in providing lap-top computers for those who needed them.
This new technology may be the only way to directly engage with all our community groups, whatever the age of the membership.
I would like to make Cancer Research UK my particular cause.
Man in Place will continue to be an important resource for our homeless and will need our continuing support.
