The death of Councillor Frank Burns has come at a sad time for the people of Wellington. Frank was a dedicated Councillor for Haygate Ward, a school governor and was twice Mayor of Wellington. He represented Haygate for many years and was involved in projects to improve and upgrade the area.
Frank was a founder member of Wellington Regeneration Board and was positive and supportive of everything that would enhance the town of which he was so proud.
Wellington has lost a dedicated and loyal Councillor who worked hard to promote the town for residents and businesses. He was a special person with a vision for Wellington that will be sadly missed.
