It is with the continued generosity of the late Stuart Taylor’s family that we can offer a prize of £500 to the winner with their poems published in This Is Our Wellington magazine and on associated social media platforms.
Applicants are required to produce a short poem with the theme ‘Memories of Wellington’ and must be a resident of the Wellington parish. The post of Wellington’s Resident Poet will run from one year from 30th April 2026 and a minimum of eight poems will be required over that time to mark significant Wellington or national events. There are no age restrictions but under 16’s will need to be accompanied by an adult for events.
