The Hands-on Help Scheme launches

Offered by Telford & Wrekin Council with development partners, Nuplace, Wrekin Housing Group and Lovell

Telford & Wrekin Council along with development partners, Nuplace, Wrekin Housing Group and Lovell are offering not-for-profit and voluntary organisations in Telford and Wrekin the opportunity to apply for free materials and labour, to help transform buildings and outside spaces which are in need of improvement.

The Hands-on Help scheme is being bought forward as a part of the new mixed tenure housing development ‘Wild Walk’ in Donnington which will see delivery of some of the borough’s most low carbon homes built to date.

The labour and materials will be supplied by Lovell and used to deliver a range of improvements to community buildings and spaces such as painting and decorating, roofing and repair works, carpentry and plumbing, environmental and external works or improvements to bathrooms and kitchens.

The scheme is open to community groups and not-for-profit organisations including schools, charities and faith organisations that are based in Telford and Wrekin.

Applicants should apply by Friday 28 April and successful applicants will be notified in May 2023.
