As we come to the end of May we can reflect on the events held in recognition of the VE Day 80 Celebrations that we hosted across the month.
Our Mayor, Cllr Reg Snell, visited local schools with commemorative badges and Telford Interfaith kindly distributed our commemorative coins to local elderly residents.
The formal acknowledgement on May 8 was a well attended and poignant occasion while the big celebration on May 10 couldn’t have happened without the contributions of volunteers and the significant amount of funding that was provided through Pride funding. This clearly led to it being a brilliant event.
