Wellington Methodist Church has an open collection point for its food bank, located in the rear car park, each Tuesday between 9.00am and 11.00am. Cllr Patricia Fairclough Mayor, of Wellington, visited and made a donation today.
Cllr Fairclough commented “It is important that community minded organisations, like our Churches, use their resources to help those who are feeling the problems created by ‘lockdowns’ and isolating. The hands on volunteers know where help is most needed and co-ordinate the links between those who are in need and those who are willing to give; whether it is their time, their skills, or items for families and all age groups.”
