Wellington Town Council meetings are no longer live-streamed.
Public Session.
All meetings are open to the public; however, any member of the public who wishes to speak can do so in the early part of the meeting, provided he or she has given notice to the Clerk prior to the Council agenda being despatched to Members by emailing TownClerkCEO@wellington-shropshire.gov.uk. If no member of the public gives notice to the Clerk, there is to be no provision in the agenda to allow a public session to take place. Agenda papers for Council meetings are despatched six days before the meeting.
Council meetings are held on the following basis:
- Full Council – meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month except in August at 7:00 pm
- Planning – meetings are usually held every 4 weeks at 6:00 pm
- Policy & Resources – meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm
- Events and Communications Committee – meetings are usually held at 6:00 pm on the last Tuesday of the month
- Annual Meetings – Held in Council Chamber, Civic Offices, Wellington
- Library Committee – meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6pm
